Forthcoming gigs:

Supposedly there's one at the Vox Bar, Huddersfield, on Weds 28th July, but I'm not sure whether it'll actually happen, due to Josh's hand-related traumas which are related in thrilling style below.

Josh buggers hand

Josh has torn a tendon or something in his hand, thus rendering him unable to do owt for about a month or so. Apparently he trapped it under an amp when he fell downstairs, or something like that. Mare.

Kenst return to studio!

Yes, the Kenst have once again disproved their reputation as lazy fuckers by going into the studio to record. Plenty of new material on the way, but unfortunately it will now be taking longer than expected due to Josh's hand-related trauma. Filling up space and trying for a cheap laugh

I recently went on a mission to find out what people really think of the Kenst. I gathered small groups of people together, played them the two CDs and then asked them to make a comment. Here's the results.

First I went to wherever the nearest RAF base is (note to self: ask someone who knows about this kind of thing). I got a few of the squaddies there to listen to the album, and this is what they had to say:

Colonel Augustus Twistleton-Splashback: "Not my kind of thing I'm afraid, I'm more of a prog rock man. If they had some songs about elves dancing with 42-minute guitar solos they'd be great but as it is, it gets a thumbs down from me."

Flight Lieutenant Hotsnails McGruder: "Fuck off, we're trying to organise a bleeding war here."

Private Souvenir Moscowitz: "Yeah, I liked it. Nice paradiddles."

So, a middling response so far. Next time I'll be asking people who go to testicular cancer support groups what they think. Stay tuned.
